The food industry cannot be separated from food additives, but improper or excessive food additives occur from time to time, and even non-edible substances, which seriously affects food safety.
Food additives are a kind of compounds or natural substances added to improve the color, aroma, taste, as well as the needs of corrosion or processing process. At present, there are more than 20 categories and nearly 1,000 food additives in China, which can be said that the food industry cannot be separated from food additives. However, many enterprises will add or abuse food additives excessively, or even add non-edible substances, which seriously affect food safety.
The Ministry of Health will investigate and punish food illegal add non-edible substances and the food is easy to abuse of food additives as an important work, batch of the " food may be illegally added edible substances and abuse food additives varieties list, and to melamine, potassium bromate and other non-edible substances for a large-scale range of spot inspection and testing.
As a food testing institution, relying on technology and equipment, it can detect food additives and illegally added non-edible substances, in order to ensure food safety.
